Travis Thrower joined Golden Isles Baptist Church in the Spring of 2018. He has served here in youth and worship ministry as well as associate pastor, before being named Senior Pastor in September of 2021. He is married to his wife Karen and has two children, Kamea and Tadan.

Travis grew up around the ministry as a pastor’s kid and as a teenager felt God’s call on his life to also serve God in the ministry. Travis graduated from Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Church Ministries. He has worked in various ministries for over 20 years, including: children’s, bus, youth, audio/visual and worship ministries while serving as a Youth Pastor and an Assistant Pastor.
